How to Practice Safety with Air Rifles

When it comes to safety while hunting or target shooting with air rifles you can never be too cautious. Bb’s or pellets are very dangerous and especially so with some of the high powered air rifles that reach up to 1000 fps and sometimes even above. You would be surprised how much damage one of these guns can actually cause. It would be unfortunate to accidentally shoot yourself, another person, or any object that wasn’t meant to be shot at due to not following basic air rifle safety. With that being said, after reading the tips below you should be well on your way to becoming a safe, responsible air rifle user.

Air Rifle Safety Precautions & Tips

  1. Wear appropriate eye protection at all times.
  2. Air rifles are not toys. Do not play with them.
  3. Never point the gun in a direction you do not mean to shoot at.
  4. Keep the safety on until you are ready to fire your air rifle.
  5. When you are not using the rifle store it unloaded in a safe, out of reach place.
  6. Avoid causing the pellets to ricochet after being fired.
  7. Treat the gun as if it were fully loaded at all times.
  8. Keep your finger away from the trigger until the exact moment you are ready to shoot.
  9. Before shooting, check your target and the area surrounding it.
  10. Never drink prior to or while using an air rifle.

My Personal Review of the Rheem RTE 13

In this day and age if you are still using a regular tank water heater then you definitely need to get with the times. Switching to a tankless water heater will provide you with a variety of benefits that you really can’t ignore. Not only will you save a good deal of money on your electricity bill but you will also save space in your home as well as have an endless supply of hot water.

rheem rte 13 review

If the idea of never having to deal with a cold shower again sounds good to you then it’s probably time to make the switch. I would recommend going with a model from Rheem which in my opinion is the best tankless water heater brand in the industry. The model I’m reviewing today is the one I actually use in my own house and that is the Rheem RTE 13. This model has both the most and the best tankless water heater reviews online so that should definitely tell you something. Without wasting any more of your precious time let’s get to my own review; I hope you enjoy.

Rheem RTE 13 Review

The reason I bought this water heater was because my home is rather small and it’s just me and my wife. The Rheem RTE 13 is mainly used as a point-of-use water heater but it also works well if you have a low amount of hot water usage. When I first received the Rheem RTE 13 I was surprised by just how small it was. I was able to save so much space in my garage by not having to deal with a giant tank water heater which definitely made me happy. Another good aspect is how easy it was to install this bad boy. I thought I might have to hire a professional to come do the job but I managed on my own. The instruction manual was very easy to follow so it really only took me maybe an hour. I actually spent more time trying to safely remove my old water heater.

Once installed I immediately went and took an extremely long hot shower and without surprise the water stayed perfectly hot the whole time. I decided the water was actually a little too hot but luckily you can easily turn it down on the tankless water heater itself. Doing so allows me to save even more money on my electric bill as well as be able to use hot water from more than just my shower at one time. This comes very useful when my wife is wanting to use hot water while I’m taking a shower.

Overall I have to say the Rheem RTE 13 is an excellent tankless water heater and I’m so glad I made this purchase when I did. I would recommend to read other persons reviews before making your final purchase just to make sure this model is right for you.

Ecosmart Tankless Water Heater Reviews

About a month ago the time finally came when my water heater gave out and I ended up having to buy a new one. Since my traditional tank didn’t last as long as I had expected to, I decided to go for a tankless water heater after hearing all kinds of good things about them; I couldn’t be any happier with my decision. The exact tankless water heater that I purchased is the Ecosmart ECO 27. You’ll be amazed at all of the great features and benefits that it provides for you and your family.

Ecosmart Tankless Water Heater Review

The switch over from a traditional tank to my Ecosmart Eco 27 was one of the easiest, most enjoyable things my family and I have ever done. We’re a pretty big family considering there’s 6 of us and before we had that same problem every family has – fighting over who gets the next shower. Nobody likes waiting around for the water to warm back up, am I right?

Well, going tankless solves this problem; the Eco 27 provides endless hot water by heating it up as it’s needed rather than storing it. Contrary to belief, it actually heats up to the right temperature really fast, which means no waiting around. Also, the tank is only on as it supplies warm water and proceeds to shut off afterwards. The only thing you need to know about that aspect of the water heater is that it ends up saving you a lot of money. I mean, clearly, if something is off 99% of the time it’s gonna result in energy savings.

Normally, you would see pros and cons, right? But not with Ecosmart tankless water heaters; there’s only pros when it comes to these machines. In order not to bore you to death with tons of reading, here’s a list of all of the great features you’ll receive when you switch over.

  • Up to 60% off your water heating bill
  • Endless Hot Water
  • Set the exact temperature you desire
  • Lifetime Warranty (most models)
  • Reduced Waste
  • Extra 12 ft. of Space

In order to get a really good idea about what the Ecosmart Eco 27 is and how it works watch this informative Ecosmart tankless water heater review video. It actually happens to be the video that encouraged me to go out and purchase this model. Anyways, I hope that my review was of help!

2014 Review of The Gamo Big Cat

This is one of my favorite air rifles of all time and for good reason. At a reasonable $100 price tag you  can own a bb gun that is perfect for target practice and both large and small pest control. This air rifle will kill anything from small mice to a squirrel. The Gamo Big Cat takes 0.177 pellets and can shoot up to 1250 fps. This is extremely fast and about as far as a bb gun goes in terms of speed and distance.

Since this bad boy can shoot for long range the geniuses over at Gamo made sure to include a 4x magnification scope that works perfectly for this gun. A ventilated rubber pad is also included on the back of the stock to decrease the feel of recoil for a smoother shot. To make things simple this rifle has a single cocking system to make shooting less of a chore and more fun.

This feature also helps out when hunting small game because if you miss you don’t have to sit around pumping the bb gun back up. If you’re worried about the Big Cat being too heavy, don’t be. This air rifle weighs barely over 6 pounds so it is very easy to carry around. While I wouldn’t recommend this bb gun to little kids it should be fine for anyone over 16 years of age. Always make sure to have parent permission before using any air rifle to ensure maximum safety.
